Almost everyone visit Korea through landing at Incheon International Airport, however, I suggest you Daegu International Airport, it might be a better choice if you want to go to more places other than Seoul.

Daegu is located in the center of Korea and it is considered to be the best place to travel all over Korea including Seoul, Busan and Gyeongsangbuk-do. For this reason, Daegu’s international passenger traffic recorded 337,838 passengers last year, comparing to the previous year , it has an increase of 57.3 %.
Recently the number of flights to Daegu International Airport increases dramatically as well as the number of tourists visiting Daegu. Not only did the number of visitors to Busan in Seoul increase, but visitors to areas around Gyeongsangbuk-do also increased.
Below are the flights newly added in Daegu International airport. T-Way Airlines launched a new route from Daegu to Vladivostok, flights to Cebu, Philippines, Hong Kong, Okinawa, Osaka will also be increased accordingly.
Similar to T-way Air, Jeju Airlines also increased their flight to Beijing, and T- wayair flying to Shanghai (resuming 3 flights per week in this summer). There are also flights to Shanghai by Eastern Airlines increased from 4 flights per week to 7 flights per week.
Not only did the above-mentioned flights increased, but many direct flights were already in operation at Daegu International Airport. Tourists starting to visit Gyeongsangnam-do and Busan through Daegu Airport instead of Incheon Airport.
The current direct flights from Daegu International Airport includes Taiwan Taipei, Tokyo Narita, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Okinawa, and also flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Sanya, and Hong Kong.
Other than flights to East Asia, there are also flights to Southeast Asia, which includes Bangkok, Danang and Cebu. It is also connected to Vladivostok.
In addition, this year’s overall usage of Daegu International Airport this year has exceeded the limit of 3.75 million. Therefore, the Daegu City Government is focusing on improving the integrated transfer system such as the terminal and parking lots as to cope with a larger flow of people.
